Performance bonuses motivate the employees

The Board of Hansel makes annual decisions on performance bonuses. In 2022, the total amount of the performance bonus for employees of Hansel may not exceed 15% of their annual salary. Performance bonus assessments are based on contract usage, customer satisfaction and personal performance.

The performance bonuses are paid on the payday in April of the following year, and they are only available to employees with an employment contract at the time of payment. Employees join the performance bonus scheme after their trial period, and temporary employees are not covered by the scheme. However, performance bonuses are paid to retired employees if they have worked during the year. An employee is entitled to the performance bonus during maternity or paternity leave as long as they are being paid by the company. Otherwise, during family or other leave, the employees is not covered by the scheme. Sick leave does not reduce the right to the performance bonus.

In addition, Hansel employees may receive a one-off bonus between €300 and €3,000 for particularly good performance. The managing director decides on the award of a one-off bonus based on a proposal from the employee’s supervisor. The bonus will be paid on the next payday following the award.

The total amount of the 2022 performance bonus for members of the Hansel Executive Committee can be up to 15% of their annual salary, with the maximum performance bonus for exceptional performance being 30% of the annual salary. Performance bonus assessments are based on contract usage, customer satisfaction and the contribution being assessed. The assessed contribution is based on the success of the Executive Committee in

  1. the implementation of the Integration Strategy;
  2. the creation of the new strategy; and
  3. the promotion of sustainability.
